    Job Purpose


    Prepare audit plan and Execute Substantive or Transaction Audit based on the findings and as assigned by the Team Leader to test for errors other than noncompliance with a control procedure, directly affecting the correct collection of revenue or compliance to customs legislation.


    Principal Accountabilities
    Operational:


    • Review data analytically and oversee preparation of the Individual Audit Plan for Post Clearance Audit Program as assigned by the Team Lead
    • Coordinate with the Team Leader to get expert resource request/ opinion during the audit, to have expert opinion on areas such as Tariff, Valuation, Origin, Investigation and Legal while performing audit.
    • Prepare draft audit report and ensure it contains all evidences and audit findings, based on the outcomes of the audit, to send for review for legal position
    • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information in line with Saudi Customs information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse
    • Evaluate the internal controls based on system flowchart and gathered information and measure the level of control using the CAPE matrix
    • Design series of compliance tests to determine whether the controls are working as documented and whether or not the records of the company accurately reflect the true situation
    • Determine the amount of sample required to design substantive audit test by examining the cape matrix and satisfactory level of compliance tests
    • Guide auditors in the preparation and performance of substantive audit tests based on high or medium result of cape matrix by reviewing the previous test result and collection of all necessary documentation to test for errors other than noncompliance with a control procedure
    • Review profiling, customs declaration samples and other relevant documents gathered from customer and internet, prior to initiation of audit activities for performing transaction audit
    • Provide support in performing Desk Audit at Customs office or at the customer's premises by checking identified transaction, all supporting documentation, for its compliance with Customs record regarding issues such as management structure and accounting controls
    • Monitor communication of short collection decision to customers about cancellation of short collection notice
    • Prepare self-assessment questionnaire in compliance to accreditation standards

    Developmental


    • Guide, Coach and Mentor Auditors and assistant auditors in conducting audits
      Qualifications and Experience
      Minimum Educational Requirements:
      Graduate in the relevant business area with relevant certifications or professional qualifications as indicated.

    Experience:


    • 2 - 6 years of relevant business experience in area of employment with exposure to guide new members in the teams, project related assignments.
