Estimator - Ambiance
The estimator’s role is crucial among the team as he/she is responsible for quotations and technical submittals for our package. Furthermore the estimator is in direct contact with our suppliers regarding the costing and all clarifications.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
•Studying the specification and tender documents in order to prepare our reply to our clients accordingly
•Elaborating our package according to the specification, the design and the lighting concept
•Reviewing the lighting layout and the drawings provided by the client in order to get the BOQ (bill of quantity)
•Selecting the products for our proposal as per the specification and/or alternatives including all technical details
•Requesting quotations from different suppliers/manufacturers and ensuring fast a fast reply from those
•Reviewing and evaluating the offer from suppliers in accordance to the project requirements and specifications
•Negotiating better prices from manufacturers when quantities are high or when required by the project - both in tender stage and after receiving the purchase order to increase the profitability
•Working independently with pricelists from our main manufacturers and apply our discounts for our costing
•Preparing the costing sheets along with the calculations of freight, customs and our margins for our selling prices
•Preparing our tender offer (proposal), commercially along with the full technical submittals (datasheets, certificates, comparison overviews, compliance sheets, etc.)
•Providing necessary value engineering as required by the client in order to bring down the project budget by preparing an alternative offer
•Requesting quotations from different sub-suppliers/contractors when it comes to installation works
•Providing support and assistance to team members in order to meet the division’s goals and targets
•Attend training initiatives and to develop relevant knowledge, skills and competencies
