Inspection Engineer - Methanol Chemicals Co. (CHEMANOL)
• Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations
• Provides monitoring equipment performance trends, recognizing and acting on deviations from reliability and availability targets
• Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations
• Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
• Provides effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
• Provides expert input to reliability engineering services in the form of statistical analysis, investigations and advice in the areas of asset management by applying modern risk management techniques
• Applies Reliability Centered Maintenance(RCM) and Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) programs
• Participates in the final check-out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
• Maintains continuous liaison with the Maintenance and Operations and supporting departments and has regular contact with vendors and equipment manufacturers to improve equipment reliability
• Collect the process and mechanical data from the relevant documentation and implement the inspection data base
• Assist inspection engineer to establish the internal, external and thickness surveys inspection schedule and setting frequency based on RBI methodology/API codes for the in-service inspections
• Review Contractor`s QA/QC documents, site quality plans, ITPs, method statements, welding procedures etc.
• Prepare shutdown static equipment inspection packages based on frequency which has to be set based on RBI study, API 510 Recommendation and plant priority.
• Assist in troubleshooting process upsets in day to day activities from mechanical stand point in order to ensure process runs as designed and that production is not interrupted by providing the technical recommendations per the company procedure and international codes and standard
• Provide technical support and source of information and critical analysis for team members, and coordinates technical interface to other departments as needed on Static Equipment matters.
